TRIOXYL LA INJ

TRIOXYL LA 150 Contains 150 mg equivalent Amoxicillin as Amoxicillin trihydrate B.P per ml. Also Contains: Aluminium Di stearate and Medium Chain Tryglycerides. Suspension for injection.

INDICATIONS: Trioxyl LA is a broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic, active against a wide range of gram positive and gram negative organisms including: Fusiformis sp, Clostridium sp. Corynebacterium sp. Haemophilus sp. Salmonella sp.,Erysipelas sp., Pasteurella sp. Staphylococci , Streptococci sp.

Specific Indications: Pneumonia, skin and soft issue infections, abscesses , wounds , joint/navel ill.

Species: Cattle and sheep.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Shake well before use. The recommended dose rate is 15 mg per kg body weight. 1 ml per 10 Kg. For deep intramuscular injection only. RECOMMENDED WITHHOLDING PERIOD: should not be used for human consumption during treatment. Animal must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment or for 28 days thereafter.

Species :Dose ml per Kg body weight: Cattle... 10.0 ml -100 Kg Calf... 5.0 ml -50 Kg Sheep... 2.5 ml - 25KgLamb...1.0 ml -10 Kg Massage the injection site after administration. In adult cattle the volume should be divided between two injection sites. Therapeutic plasma levels are maintained for 48 hours in cattle and sheep.

CONTRAINDICATIONS & WARNINGS: Not for intravenous administration. Occaional local reaction may occur. Occasional allergies to the penicillins have been observed but these are rare.

Do not freeze. Protect from light. Once the vial is broached, use the contents within four weeks. Avoid contamination during use. This product contains no preservative. The product should be discarded if any apparent growth or discolouration occurs.
